Non-emergent, specialized, medical-forensic care and evidence collection is provided through a community partnership at The Cottage. These high-quality services are provided at our free-standing facility within the community at no charge to victims, their families, law enforcement agencies, or child protective services.

Our medical-forensic partners believe in a patient-centered approach to medical-forensic care. At The Cottage, care is provided to only one patient or family at a time. Additionally, our facility offers a quiet, calm, welcoming, and supporting environment within the community, outside of a busy emergency department, allowing for the appropriate assessment and care of those in need of specialized medical-forensic care.​​

No referrals from the patient's primary care provider, law enforcement, or child protective services are necessary to receive specialized, medical-forensic care at no charge to them through our partnership at The Cottage in Richmond Hill.
